Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
DearHim, Inc. Reporting Period: [YEAR] Last Updated: 5/8/26
Our Commitment
DearHim, Inc. has zero tolerance for modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labor in any form. We are committed to operating ethically and to ensuring that our business and supply chain are free from these abuses.
This statement describes the steps we take to identify, prevent, and address modern slavery risks in our business and supply chain.
About DearHim
DearHim, Inc. is a Delaware corporation operating consumer-facing AI dating intelligence and matchmaking products under the brand names DearHim, DearHer, and DearUs. Our headcount is small and our supply chain is primarily software-as-a-service vendors providing infrastructure (hosting, AI APIs, payments, communications, analytics).
Risk Assessment
We assess the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chain to be low based on:
- Our workforce: All members of our team are knowledge workers (engineering, design, content, operations) located in countries with strong labor law protections. We do not operate factories, warehouses, or other facilities where the risk of modern slavery is elevated.
- Our supply chain: Our suppliers are major SaaS providers (e.g., Vercel, Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, Clerk) operating in jurisdictions with strong labor law enforcement. We do not source raw materials, manufactured goods, or other physical products that present elevated modern-slavery risk.
- Our partners: Our creator partners are individuals operating under our Partner Program Terms, which require they be 18+ and acting voluntarily.
We monitor for risks in two areas:
- DearUs members: Romance fraud and human trafficking schemes can use dating platforms to recruit victims. Our Trust & Safety team monitors for warning signs.
- Content moderation: We monitor user-generated content for indicators of trafficking or coercion.
Steps We Take
Within Our Operations
- Code of conduct: All employees and contractors must agree to a code of conduct prohibiting forced labor, harassment, and discrimination.
- Hiring practices: We verify the right to work for all employees and conduct reference checks.
- Compensation: We pay above local market wages and comply with all applicable wage and hour laws.
- Whistleblower channel: Employees and contractors may report concerns to legal@dearhim.ai with subject "Whistleblower Report" — confidentially and without retaliation.
Within Our Supply Chain
- Vendor diligence: Before engaging a new subprocessor (see Subprocessor List), we review their public commitments to ethical practices and modern slavery compliance where applicable.
- Vendor contracts: Our vendor agreements include provisions requiring compliance with applicable laws, including labor laws.
Within Our Service
- Anti-trafficking detection on DearUs: Our Trust & Safety team monitors DearUs profiles and messages for signs of trafficking, coercion, or exploitation. Indicators include:
- Profiles indicating the member is being managed by another person.
- Messages soliciting commercial sexual activity.
- Photos or content suggesting the member is a minor or under coercion.
- Other patterns identified by anti-trafficking organizations.
- Reporting: When we identify credible signs of trafficking, we report to the National Human Trafficking Hotline (1-888-373-7888) and to law enforcement as appropriate.
- Member education: We provide resources on our Safety page about romance fraud and trafficking awareness.
Training
Our customer-facing and Trust & Safety personnel receive training on:
